Ekkli Pricing: Simple, Fair Plans for Churches of Any Size
Ekkli starts with six months free for up to 50 people — the full platform, no card required. After that, four paid plans scale with your church: more people, more email sends, and long-term media storage. This page lays out exactly what each plan includes and what it costs, with no hidden tiers and no asterisks.
The six-month free trial
The trial is the whole product, not a demo. Worship presentation and live display, the song library, a church website on an Ekkli subdomain, an admin-facing member database with GDPR consent handling, rotas and service plans, volunteer availability, small groups and forum, a public events calendar with RSVP and waitlists, push notifications, sermon audio hosting, and the installable congregation app.
Three things are capped while you're on it, because each one costs real money to provide:
- Media storage is 2 GB. Enough for a working sermon archive.
- No bulk email. Push notifications are unlimited and cover announcements; email campaigns start on paid plans.
- No SMS. Not on the trial, and not on paid plans today either.
The site runs on an ekkli.net subdomain with a small "Powered by Ekkli" footer. A custom domain, footer removal, email campaigns and a podcast RSS feed all come with a paid plan.
There is no permanently free tier. When the six months end you choose a plan. We'd rather say that here than let you find out in month five — six months is long enough to run two full seasons and train a volunteer team, which is a fairer test than thirty days and a real decision either way.
Plans and pricing at a glance
Prices below are Band A — our standard band, covering countries including Ireland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. Many countries pay less; see regional pricing below. All prices are + VAT where applicable.
| Plan | People cap | Monthly (Band A) | Annual (~17% off) | Email sends / month | Media storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial — 6 months | 50 | €0 | — | 0 (push only) | 2 GB |
| Small | 50 | €15 | €150 | 1,000 | 5 GB |
| Sunday | 200 | €29 | €290 | 5,000 | 20 GB |
| Ministry | 500 | €59 | €590 | 20,000 | 100 GB |
| Network | 750 | €119 | €1,190 | 50,000 | 250 GB |
A note on Small. It has the same 50-person cap as the trial. Small isn't about fitting more people in — it's for a church still under 50 that wants a custom domain, no "Powered by Ekkli" footer, email campaigns and real media storage. Sunday, Ministry and Network then raise the people cap as the congregation grows, alongside larger email quotas and more storage.
Network additionally unlocks hosted multi-church networks — a private community, events and classifieds layer for churches that work together across a denomination or region. Above 750 people, get in touch and we'll quote.
What every plan includes
- Event registration. Capacity limits, waitlists, guest sign-up and headcount attendance work the same on every plan.
- Small groups and forum boards. A free on/off switch, not a paid gate — defaulted off until your church wants them.
- Unlimited admin and leader seats. No per-seat pricing, ever.
- Full data export. People, songs, service plans and website content, self-service, at any time — including during the trial.
- Support. Every church gets the knowledge base, an AI assistant grounded strictly in it, and community forum access. Paid plans add faster email support from a real person.
What paid plans add
Four specific things: a custom domain with the "Powered by Ekkli" footer removed, email campaigns for newsletters and announcements, a podcast RSS feed for your sermon audio, and long-term media storage measured in gigabytes. Beyond Small, each tier also raises your people cap, email quota and storage together — so you upgrade once as the church grows rather than juggling separate limits.
Fair, regional pricing
Ekkli's price isn't one flat number for the whole world. It's set automatically from your country, grouped into four bands, so a church in a lower-cost economy isn't paying the same euro amount as one in Dublin or Zurich.
Band A is the table above. Bands B and C cover a wider range of countries at correspondingly lower prices. Band D — currently including Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana — is lowest of all and billed annually only; as an example, Small in Band D is €29 for the whole year rather than per month. This banding is maintained data rather than a fixed list, so treat the country examples as representative. If you're unsure which band applies, sign up and the correct price is applied automatically.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when the six months end?
You choose a paid plan. There's no permanently free tier to fall back on, so this is a real decision point rather than a soft downgrade. Nothing is deleted the moment the trial ends, and a full export of everything is available to you throughout.
Do I need a card to start?
No. No card at signup and none during the six months. You only enter payment details if you decide to continue.
Is the trial a reduced version of the product?
No — it's the full platform. The only caps are 2 GB of media storage, no bulk email and no SMS.
Do these prices include VAT?
Prices are shown + VAT where applicable, based on your church's location and the relevant tax rules. Checkout shows the final amount including any tax before you confirm.
Can we change plans as the church grows?
Yes — move up as your people count, email needs or storage needs grow, or down if a smaller plan fits better. You're never locked into a tier.
Is the 50-person cap a hard limit?
It's a real cap on your member database, on both the trial and Small. Sunday, Ministry and Network raise it to 200, 500 and 750 respectively.
Is there a discount for small or newly planted churches?
Pricing is banded by country rather than by church size, so a congregation in a lower-cost economy pays materially less than the Band A headline.
